Papusza Couture artist and designer, Kaytee Papusza, currently resides in Los Angeles where she works as a couturier, costume designer and fabric archivist assistant. She enjoys traveling with her work and frequently visits NYC and The Bay Area, both cities where she previously resided. She creates clothing, couture and costumes of all kinds, and is best known for her one of a kind conceptual fine art couture collections, made using unconventional materials, hand crafted textiles and artisan techniques. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The New York Post, Vogue Italia, Sang Blue and Belle Armoire.
"A pearl is a beautiful thing that is produced by an injured life. It is the tear [that results] from the injury of the oyster. The treasure of our being in this world is also produced by an injured life. If we had not been wounded, if we had not been injured, then we will not produce the pearl."
