Many of these works are in homage to The Romani, a people who have long inspired me, since I started creating artisan clothing. Papusza "Trousseau" specializes in creating custom heirloom couture gowns and ensembles for weddings and other memorable occasions. Here is a small selection showcasing "Trousseau" pieces I have made for clients over the years. These couture garments are made to last for lifetimes.

This wedding gown is made of 4-ply silk that has been hand tinted pale blue. It has a 4 foot long train, and has the option of being worn full length for dramatic affect, or ruched up to be the perfect dancing gypsy dress. The underskirt of this dress has nearly 50 bells and dozens of feather stitched into it, to create a magical effect and musical sounds. Photo by Darren Miller.

This wrap style dress was made out of a stretch brocade, and appliquéd with chantilly lace from the brides grandmothers wedding dress. It has a removable petticoat train, making it easy to dress down for post reception cocktails.

All hand cut lace appliqués down the front where stitched on by hand, after being tea stained the perfect golden shade to accent the silk on the dress as well as the brides beautiful skin color. This dress has a 4’ train which can be worn long, or rigged up to make dancing and walking easier.

This collection of couture is an homage to curves, and the beautiful and iconic femininity of voluptuous babes. These dresses are two parts Marilyn Monroe, one part Courtney Love and a dash of bohemian bombshell. I will be adding more to this gallery later this summer.
